The Bike trip - Wayanad

Finally, after years of torture, my brain agreed to listen to my heart for a bike trip. Wow, 2nd trip in 2010 in 2 weeks. Good going!! The Cast Puttar 'D' Pathar lead the pack with his Thunderbird. Man with a mission. AJ Chakravarti aka Emperor. His mind and mouth travels faster than his pre-historic bullet (he likes to call it Vintage!!!). Shanth Roam-esh had invited me to the trip. I heard he provided quite an entertainment on the way after shifting 2 gears, ehm... 2 beers ;). SixFace the chauffeur was flying his Santro throughout the trip, except when he lost way, which was most of the time!! The 'Learned' sharma and Miss India coolkarni brought in the glamour quotient. It was few days before the actual trip that Shanth Roamesh told me about a plan to go on a bike trip to Wayanad in Kerala. The proud Malayali in me immediately said yes. The funny thing is that when I was living in my home town in Kerala, I was looking for a way out of ther...

The Kodai trip...

I have been on a planning mode for quite some time. Planning to travel and visit different places. May be my beautiful brain decided that all I wanted to do was plan and that made me happy. When he had given up all hope, it happened- a New Year, 2010 ! Well, well, with a new year, I had to do something new. That is when the 'Calicut Camry bhai' from my office talked about a trip to the mountains. Interesting, because I actually did not go into the planning mode and instead said YES, letz go... The Cast The Scoripian queen aka Punjabi soni kudi is the dangerous one as well as the cute one. Be careful what you say to her or she can sting with a lot of poison. Be good and you find her with lot of passion. Old Monk has recently become a damager in office, I meant manager. He is constanly trying to convert namma Bengaluru to his dear bay area in sunny California. Long way buddy :). Camry Bhai is very interesting. He comes out with business ideas every day and measure...

The Chennai trip

Nov 7 2009: 4.30 AM.. Stepped out of the office and found it raining. Thank god, it's not so heavy. I had decided to take a bus ride to the railway station. I did not want to start my journey doing some nasty negotiation with the auto rickshaw fellows. The trees on the way to the bus stop helped and I did not get wet much. Got my ipod on and waited for the bus to arrive. Almost 30 minutes before I got my ride.. 5:15 AM Wow! that was quick..in about 15 minutes the bus had covered a 10km distance to the station. Went inside the station and walked around the platform with the music still on. Around 5.45, I got into the train, found my seat and quickly settled in. I had done the usual ritual of checking the passenger list stuck outside the compartment. When I was young, it was fun to look at the list before any long distance train journey. As a kid, it felt good to see your name stuck out there :) The funny thing with this list is, everybody has different reason...

The first step...

Being my first dig at blogging, I thought of taking an easy step here. So let me post a very old article I wrote for my school book about 12 years ago!! Here it goes.... Ruminations If marks are any proof of my intelligence, mine only seem to establish the existence of an empty head. Reference could be made to the wealth of a pauper as far as my brain cells are concerned. Gone are those happy moments when I used to enjoy my life with my friends with not a care in the world. Gone is that innocence that had made me the cynosure of every eye. My search for identity has begun… It was with joyous and excited jubilation that 1997 greeted me and I, the year. It would make me the senior most off all the students. I was to be an idol for the kinder garden puppets of my school! The proud feeling of having gained the respect of those chubby cheeks filled my heart. My journey till this moment had always been through the background score- “Dear, you are going to face the PUBLIC”. But al...
